Here’s where sterile procedures take place, in a protected environment with “positive pressure air flow” – this keeps the air that might contain germs from flowing in. Everything from puppy spays to major orthopedic surgery is done in this room. Our heated hydraulic surgery table is in the foreground – not only does it raise and lower with the touch of a foot pedal, it also tilts and the sides tip independently to optimize positioning of the patient.
Everything in this room is designed with efficiency and patient safety in mind. In the background is one of our gas anesthesia units, along with one of our multi-parameter monitors, that measures heart and breathing, blood pressure, temperature, and more. The IV pole holds fluids and a precision IV pump to support blood flow to vital organs. The Ellman Surgitron uses radio waves to create bloodless incisions and cauterize bleeding vessels when needed. Even our instrument trays are specially selected to adjust easily and provide an extra wide surface for sterile surgery packs.
